The Council recognises the importance of involving organisations representing the local communities and of developing effective means for ascertaining the views of these communities.
To facilitate this we will set up four local forums. These will be Braintree District, Colchester Borough, economic and legacy, and environmental forums. The purpose of these forums is to advise on the implementation of the communications plan for engaging with communities at a grassroots level and to ensure that information is being effectively communicated to all those in the relevant communities. It will also ensure that there is an effective mechanism for feedback.
